The City Council.

Monday night was regular council meeting night. Vai Seib and wife offer to sell to the city a triangular tract of land at the south end of. Division St., for street purposes, for $350. The city already is using the tract. Referred to street committee. Nowels, Sayler Lumber Co. offer slack coal for light and water station, at 5-1.60 per ton delivered; $1.40 on cars at Rensselaer, and 40 cents per ton at the mines. Referred to committee on lights. The Rutsen street sewer assessments came up, but were postponed to Wednesday night when a special meeting will be held. The electric light revenue for December was collected and uncollected $497.89. The expenses were $365.84; net revenue $132.05. The net revenue for October. November and December is $379.96; but the most of this will soon lie wiped out for fire wood bills. Twenty-seven claims were considered and allowed.
