For The Firemen

A Play To Be Presented Thursday Evening. This Xear instead of giving a ball a<nas been their usual custom, the Rensaelaer firemen will present a play at the opera house, on Thursday evening, of this week. The play is a melodrama in two acts entitled, “The Hermit, or above The Clouds.” Mr. and Mrs. M. G. Parks, professional actors of unusual proficiency, will carry the two principal parts, and are directing the rehersals of the home talent, whidh will assist them in the production the play. The following home people have parts in the performance: E. P. Honan, Chas. Robinson, S. C. Irwin, J. E. Hopkins, James Drake, Misses Bertha Parcells, Maggio Healy and Maggie Walters. A nurtfber of very entertaining specialtieswill be introduced between acts.
