The Mystery in the Death of Daniel Lawrence at Oxford Likely to be Cleared Up.
Attica Ledger. The mystery in the death of Daniel Lawrence who was found murdered near his own home at Oxford a few days ago is likely to be soon cleared up. Suspicion points to several parties and it is not unlikely that his wife will be a defendant in the case. Lawrence was considered a very steady and peaceable man and those intimately acquainted with his domestic relations advance the theory that ho was murdered by parties whom he caught with Mrs. Lawrence on his return home. The report that his wife found a bottle of whisky in his pocket is firmly denied as he was not in the habit of drinking and no one could be found who ever sold him liquor. The fact that his wife did not give the alarm after she found him lying dead, but waited until ethers had made the discovery gives some cplor to the story that she may be implicated. At any rate the matter will be thoroughly investigated and arrests are promised in a day or two.
