The ice harvest has begun. A good many on the sick list. Henry Whitaker of Hammond, was in town last Wednesday night. Simon Fendig was on the sick list the fore part of the week. J. H. Tilton was at Rensselaer, last Friday. K. T. Biggs was laid up for repairs the fore part of the week. Its a bran new girl at Henry Millers. John Meister, an old bachelor, who has been staying out at Kaylors, died Monday morning aged about sixty years. He was buried Tuesday in the Wheatfidd Catholic cemetery. The hay curler broke down Monday. Mr. Lightcap went to Kankakee Tuesday for repaint, He expects to bo running again in a day or two. | John Bruner, of DeMotte, was in town Tuesday. > John Pinter went to Chicago Wednesday. A number of the natives from here have been down to Rensselaer this week having a little chat with the grand jury.
