Messrs. Burton and Turner returned home from Momence, 111., Thursday. There was a dance at Mr. Phontos Thursday eve. Messrs. Burton and Brown and their families Sundayed at O. Callahan’s. Messrs A. E. Johnson and Nixon of Francesville visited in this vicinity Saturday and Sunday. Miss Maggie Callahan is on the sick list. G. W. Fanson is visiting at Bloomington this week. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gifford entertained Mr. and Mrs. Nolen and daughter Eva, Mrs. Jack Kneadler and nephew Leon Decrow and Misses Mae and Kittie Callahan io dinner New Years. Miss Kittie Callahan went to Wheatfield Friday. We are having a sample of “Klondyke” weather this week. Lost, strayed or stolen a small pig. Finder please return to Job Davis. Little Gerald Gifford has been quite sick the past week. Jack Kneadler is quite ill with lung fever. Dr. Schwier of Wheatfield, is the attending physician. George Beedy is visiting at Remington. Miss Eliza Cregg is visiting her parents. A merry crowd of young people gathered at the home of Lewis Brown New Year’s evening. They passed the eve with games and cards etc., partaking of an elegant lunch before leaving for their homes. T. M. Callahan is visiting relatives at Rantoul, Dewey. Champaign and Kesotum for a couple of weeks. H. G. Cook has moved to the east side of the marsh.
