Death of Emma Overton.

Emma Overton died at 2.30 a.. m. Monday Jan.. 3rd, 1898, at~ the age of 17 years, 3 months and’ 1 day. The cause of her death washconsumption, and she has been sick about 9 months. Her .death occurred at the home of her sister,. Mrs. J. W. Childers, north of therailroad. She leaves a father, James P. Qverton, four brothers.- Henry P., m. E., John A. and James R. Overton, and two sisters, Mrs. JW. Childers and Mrs. V. V. Nowels. AU live in Rensselaer, except, the last named, who lives at Chicago Heights, 111. Her mother died the 19th of August, 1885. She has been a member of the' M. E. church since 15 years of age. The funeral will be held Tuesday, at two o’clock, p. m., at; the M. E. church
