NORTH BARKLEY.
Born to Mr. and Mrs. L. B. Hewitt Wednesday, Dec. 22, a boy. Mr. and Mrs. L. Beedy entertained a number of friends at their pleasant home Christmas evening. Frank Lewis ate Christmas turkey
with his best girl. Skating is all the rage now days. Any one wanting laundry work done will do well by calling on George Fanson. Miss Jennie Beedy who has been visiting friends at Blue Island 111., for some time has returned home. , M. Joe Zook is visiting his uncle during the holidays. Misses Mae and Kittie Callahan were the guests of Maggie Healey of Rensselaer Sunday. The party at Frank Stevens Christmas night was well attended, all reported a good time. The entertainment and box social given at North Lawn last Thursday evening was decided a success. Miss Gertie Caster received the prize as being the most popular young lady at North Lawn. Receipt $16.16. Lewis Burton went to Momence 111. with two loads of farming impliments Monday. L. Beedy and wife are visiting the latters sister at Demotte. Adna Beedy went to Chicago 111. Monday. Ben Hardesty and wife are visiting at Hebron Ind. Lewie Paulson of Wheatfield, was in this vicinity Tuesday.
