Imes Sec’y. Jesse E. Wilson . S. D. George Dnnn J. D. Thos. O. Chesnut Tyler. The New Waterworks Well. Drilling on the new waterworks well has been discontinued at the depth of 243 feet. The water stands within 2 or J feet of the top and it is believed an abundant snp-

ply of excellent water. It was thought that by going deeper still more water could be had, but in connection with the large and unfailing supply furnished by the old well, it was thought sufficient already. The last 103 feet of this new well is paid for by the city at the rate of $2.75 per foot, or $283.25 in all.
