The Court House Furniture.

The furniture for the court house, both metallic and wooden, has arrived and is being hauled down today, and the work of putting it in position will be pushed as rapidly as possible. The furniture for the circuit court room is included in this now arriving. In this connection it may be of interest to state that the movement instituted some months ago by Judge Thompeon to take the furnishing of the court room out of the commissioners’ hands, has fallen through. It seems that the committee the Judge appointed to have charge of the matter were unable tf> secure from reliable houses any offers for furnishing the room that were any cheaper, nor even as cheap, for the same supposed quality of goods, as those the commissioners had already secured. It also appeared, on further investigation, very doubtful whether the judge had any legal right to take such action in the matter.
