Female Doctors Get Contracts.

For the first time since its organization Lake county has a woman physician and surgeon at the county asylum. The county commissioners have appointed to the position Mrs. Allie Day, wife of Editor Day, of the Register. Mrs. M. E. Jackson, M. D., of Hammond, formerly located here, was also appointed to doctor the poor in that place.
