Death of Mrs. August Geoppe.

Mrs. Mina Geoppe wife of Aug.ust Geoppe, died last Saturday, at their home in Barkley Tp., near Pleasant Ridge, at the age of 33 years 8 months and 19 days. She leaves 6 children, the oldest 18 years old and the youngest only one week.

The family has lived in this county only about three years, having bought the well known Wm. Noland farm. The funeral was held Monday, and conducted by Rev. Hawkins, of Medaryville. Mrs. Geoppe was a member of the German Lutheran church. A sister of Mrs Geoppe’s, living in New York, will take the infant child, while a brother in Chicago desires to take the youngest boy. Not but that Mr. Geoppe is financially able to maintain his family, but that only a mother can satisfactorily care for such a large family of young children.
