A Successful Chanty Social.

The box social which was held on Wednesday evening Dec. 22, at Saylorville school house, for the benefit of Joseph Pollock. The amount received was $20.25, which was expended for the following groceries: 1 barrel of flour $5.00, 3 bu. potatoes $2.25, 1 bu. onions, coffee SI.OO, sugar $2,00, rice sl-05, beans SI.OO, syrup SI.OO, oil 25cts, 1 hog weight 200 lbs. $6.20. Total $20.25. Mr. O. D. Halstead purchased 3 boxes, which were sent to Mr. Pollocks children for a Christmas present, Mr. Chas. Blue drew the pig. We think he needs it in his business now.
