Waterworks Items.
The exterior of the power house is now completed. The Smith-Vaile compound duplex pumps have arrived and are being moved over to the power house; The new well is down 170 feet, which is 30 feet more than the contract price. There is a 2 inch stream of water, but there is some thought of going deeper. It will cost $2.75 a foot the rest of the way down. None of the iron for the tank or tower has arrived, the previous report being erronipus. A car load of Cannel coal, just received at Coen & Brady’s. Just the thing to burn in grates.
