Remington Is Right After It.
Another enthusiastic Rpil Road meeting was held at Remington Tuesday night Dec. 7th at Major’s Hall. A report of the Benton County Committee showed the money raised for the survey and the Right of way practically given through 4yilboa T. P. Mr. J. M. Biddle presented a very interesting map showing the route as proposed Mr. Robt. Parker gave in substance a talk he had with Mr. Hollingsworth of Rensselaer which showed Rensselaer citizens are alive to their interests. The route genererally talked is along the road half a mile west of the Range line and the Right of way committe were instructed to look into the matter of getting the right of way along or on the mile road. It seems to be the prevailing opinion to abandon this road and make it the right of way. A committee was appointed to attend the Fowler meeting Sat. Dec. 11th also a committee to attend the Chicago meeting the date of which has not yet been named. Remington has got blood in her eye and means business. On motion the meeting adjourned to meet Dec. 21st.
