Jno. Phillips is able to be abenft his duties again. There will be Institute here next Saturday. The remains of the wreck were all' cleared up by Sunday evening. The - whiskey was a bad thing for this town - "and Lee, for so many partook of tS«Br~ poisonous stuff, some, too, who belong to church. Six carloads of corn have been received recently bv McCov and McDonald. Two loads came from' Francesville, two from Monon, and, two from Battle Ground. The quality of the last named far excels therest. Reed Bantu, Dal Counterman and Dan Robinson are at the saw-mill this week. McCoy shipped 190 fat sheep to Chicago last Tuesday evening. This reduces the total number belonging here to about two thousand head. A large number of rabbits have been marketed here at 5 cts. each and a little snow will be the cause of a great many more. Curt Randle and Len Lefler took initatory degree in the I. O. O. F. at Rensselaer last Thuasday evening,, and will take the first next Thursday night. Fred Arnott, who is herding a drove of sheep at Fair Oaks, for McCoy, was in this town last Saturday night. Engine No. 90, which was pretty badly demolished in the late wreck here, passed through Wednesday morning, looking as good as before the wreck. Hopkins and Goodyear attended the lecture at Rensselaer last Wednesday night.
