Epworth League Convention.
The Valparaiso Subdistrict of the Epworth League will hold a convention in Rensselaer, at Trinity M. E. church, on Friday Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 3rd 4th and sth, begining on Friday evening. The exercises will be extended and various.
The Friday evening's exercises will comprise an address of welcome, by W. E. Overton, of Rensselaer, with responses by G. D. Prevo, of Medaryville, Chas. Day of Monon and Cora Longwell of Francesville; music by Rensselaer High School Symphony and a lecture by Mrs. Clara Van Petten, of Medaryville. Saturday afternoon there will be papers by I. N. Warren, Stella Parkison, H. B. Overton, of Rensselaer, Mrs. J. B. Sayler, of Medaryville and Blanche Goodwin, of Monon.
Saturday evening papers will be by Dr. S. Johnson, of Rensselaer and Rev. H. C. Weston, of Francesville. Sunday morning a song service by H. E. Osborn, of Rensselaer and a sermon ’by Rev. Greenway, of Medaryviile. Sunday afternoon papers by L. W. Hubbell, of Francesville, Eva Sayler, of Medaryviile and J. F. Warren, of Rensselaer. Sunday evening a lesson by Dr. S. C. Johnson, a paper by J. A. Overton and address by Rev. Middleton all of Rensselaer. The exercises will all be liberally interspersed with music, recitations etc.
