H. Marble and son, ••Buzz” spent Thanksgiving in Crown Point. A couple of Jews have started a cheap John store in one of Sam Remley’s rooms. Mrs. A. Barlow is reported quite sick again. John Pinter, was in Chicago Monday, laying in a stock of holiday goods. * The Kankakee Valley Eagle which was published at this place by Sant Culbertson, has folded its wings and ceased to soar o’er the Kankakee Valley. Sant says he cant live on wild hay and promises, so he will shut up his shop and move on. Dr. Agnew, of San Pierre was on our streets Tuesday. There will be an entertainment given Friday evening for the benefit of the Wheatfield band. Cyrel Steel, of Barkley Tp., visited at A. Barlows Sunday. Every one is keeping quiet in this neck of the woods, so news is scarce.
