A Valpo Account of the Game.
Friday’s Valpo Vidette. The Valpo foot ball eleven was defeated Thursday afternoon at Rensselaer by a score of 16 to 6. FredMcCallum, the local quarter back, made a touch down and kicked a goal making the only points for Valpo. Magee of the Valpos was injured about the head but not seriously as he is as well as ever today. The game was remarkabl’yclean, no accidents, no squabbles or fights of any kind. The Rensselaer boys were superior to the Valpo eleven in weight and played a winning game. About 800 people witnessed the contest. The Valpos were met at the depot by their conquerors and a brass band. The entire eleven was treated royally and the best of feeling passed between the players.
