Demise of the Wheatfield Eagle.
Sant Culbertson, publisher of the Wheatfield Eagle, announces that after seven months’ experience he finds that there is not sufficient financial support for a paper there, and in his issue of last Friday, he announces that he must “vamoose.* Mr. Culbertson does not state whew his next venture will be, but w» hope it will be more successful than this one has been, as he get» up a paper that deserves to succeeds
The mild, innocent and mock persecuted Koezema family, of near the depot, had more trouble Sunday, at the hands of drunken rowdies. This time Mrs. Koezema got roughly used, and has a black eye to show for it. They seem to be averse to giving any information as to how she came by the discolored optic, but the matter will be investigated. The Koezemas deny that they are keeping a quark shop now, but perhaps an investigation may reveal the fact that their d«lnial is not altogether desiagenuous.
