Court House Progress.
Quite a large force of men are working in the interior of the court house, but not so many but that they evidently have no time to lose if the building is ready for occupancy by Jan. Ist. The marble wainscoting for the balls and stairways is being placed in position now. It is of highly polished and very beautiful Tennessee marble. The quarter sawed oak finishing is also still being put in place, considerable of that work being still to be done. The unaccountable delay of the steam heating men in placing the radiators in position is proving a bad thing. It is bad for the men at work in the building, and also bad for the building, as the heat is needed to dry the rooms out faster. The many charcoal fires that the absence of steam heat requires, must also have the effect of blackening the walls and darkening the woodwork.
