MOuitcello Journal: It is lucky for a little town (“town” is it brother, nay a city, which Monticello tried to be and couldn’t] like Rensselaer to be the home of a foot ball eleven. Nearly every issues of the papers at that place contain from one to fourcolumns of slush over the success bftheir team. It must be “grinding” on an editor’s nerves to have; to depend on this brutish sport to fill the columns of his paper, and his poor readers; we feel so sorry for them!
