A Tit for Tat Party.
The supposedly disconsolate wives of the men invited by Mr. E. P. Honan to spend Thursday evening with him at cards, met in a spirit of retaliation at the home of Mrs. D. G. Warner and proceeded to get even. The house was profusely decorated with palms, blooming plants and cut flowers. Light was diffused through bright hued shades. The ladies wearing their brightest smiles whiled away the happy hours until eleven, when refreshments were served, the men’t'bconsisting. of chicken, sandwiches, creamed oysters, olives, pickles, salad, coffee, ice cream, cake and bonbons. During the evening the ladies found much amusement in composing a song to be sung to their husbands which fitted nicely to the tune of Ta-ra-ra-boom de-a. The song will be copyrighted and published later when each husband will be presented with a copy.
