McCOYSBURG. Scott Robinson was on the sick list this week but is able to be around now. It was announced through the colutns of your paper that Mr. Joserland would move on the McCoy place to be vacated by Mr. Maxwell bnt this was a mistake. Mr. joserland has purchased a place of his own and will move on it, and Mrs. Miller, who now lives an the Sayler farm, west of Rensselaer will occupy Mr. McCoy’s farm. She intends to start a diary there. Mr. Gunyon will move on the place now occupied by Mr. Catherwood. Ella Catherwood has resigned her school in Carpenter Tp., and will go to Purdiie to school. Her sister will take her place as teacher. Uncle Mac shipped another carload of fat sheep to Chicago last Wednesday evening. Corn husking is almost a thing of the past in this district. There is only about a half crop. Mr. McDonald finished dipping a large number of sheep in extract of tobacco last Thursday evening. Mr. Gwin has moved his household goods from his store on Front Street to Reed Banta's house on Water Street. He will still continue his store business. There will be a Thanksgiving supper given by the Christian Endeavor here next Wednesday evening, Nov. 21. The proceeds are for the benefit of the society. There will be a speech on “Literature, a culture of the mind” that evening. Come everybody and get a good supper and have a good time.
