Rensselaer Wins a Victory! Crown Pointers Done Up at Foot Ball 14 to 4. Ana Here Are The Fall Details In Regular Foot Ball Volupuk. What is said by foot ball experts to have been the best game every played in the county, took, place at the stock farm Friday afternoon, between Crown Point and Rensselaer, with the result of another victory for Rensselaer's so-far unconquered team. Crown Point won the toss and chose north goal. Brinley kicked 30 yards and Crown Point advanced it 5, Bracken went through line 2 yds., Hayward fumbled but kept possession of the ball and gained 2 yds., Wood no gain, and Hayward 3. Hayward punted 25. yds. Brinley caught and punted back, Parry made a faft catch and got a fair kick—punted it outside goal line. Rensselaer’s ball on 25 yd line. Meyers made 10 yds,, Brinley 3, Brinley 20, Marshall 15, Meyers 10, Brinley 15, Manley 2 yds. and touch down. Brinley failed to kick goal. Score Rens. 4, Crown Point 0. Line up in center of field. P’s ball —-Houk gained 5 yds., Parry no gain, Haywood went around end for 25 and a touch down, Parry failed to kick goal. k This touch down would not have occurred had the spectators stayed on the side lines. Hayward run in among them and shoved one on to Brinley as he tried to tackle him. As it was, it was the spectators who were to blame and not the players. Brinley kicked off 40 yards, Wood gained 5, Parry 5, Houk 3, Hayward 3, Houk 1, Hayward 1, Parry 3. Time called with the ball 15 yds. in Crown Point’s territory.
SECOND HALF. Hayward kicked4o yds.; Brinley caught and advanced it 25 yds, Brinley then went through line for 10, Marshall 20, Meyers 3, Manley 5, Woodworth failed to gain, Brinley 4, Marshall 6, Brinley 2, Manley lost 1, and then Rensselaer fumbled and Crown Point gained possession with the ball on their 10 yard line. After trying to gain through the line, they kicked 20 yds, Brinley fumbled and one of C. P’s fell on it, Houk tried to gain through line and they tried to kick again, but were blocked by Wright. Referee Fowler claimed the ball was Crown Points’s on downs, but Capt. Marshall measured it and they had it by 2 feet. Manley no gain. Ball fumbled and went to Crown Point. Hayward no gain, Parry 2 yds. Rensselaer’s ball on downs. Marshall 15 yds, fumbled and Crown Point’s ball. Houk 5 yds, Wood 5, Hayward 3. Parry 1, Parry 10 yds around left end. Middleton was hurt and retired —Tucker took his place. Hayward no gain, Parry 1 yard and fumbled, Marshall fell on it as rolled from under the pile Here occurred a long dispute which was finally decided in favor of Rensselaer. 3 minutes were still left to play. Brinley made 3 yds, Marshall 3, Brinley stumbled and lost a yard. Manley 6, Brinley 2, Meyers 10, Brinley then made the finest play of the day he found a hole in the line, dodged the full back, and raced down the field for a touch down—length of run about 65 yds. Brinley kicked goal. Score 14 to 4 in favor of Rensselaer.
