Know a Good Thing When They See It.
Good’and Herd’.d. Elsewhere we republish from the Rochester Sentinel an article regarding the meeting at that place in the interests of the proposed Electric railway from Goshen, Ind. to Danville, 111. If is proposed to make this on air line, then neither , Winamac, Rensselaer or Good- • land, can be included in the lists! of stations. On the other hand,' if it is proposed to build a road that will be of practical value to, the sections through which it runs; | if it is to avoid paralleling main I lines, but cross them and 'thus be- , come a feeder for all, then the road will not follow either of the routes outlined in the Sentinel ‘ article. The line would run from Goshen by way of Bourbon and Rochester, thence to Rensselaer,! passing at or near Star City; from Rensselaer to Goodland it would run through the best part of Jasper county now unprovided with railroad facilities, and from here to Fowler through the west part of Benton county and the full length of Warren coupty, it would pass: I through the finest country in, ! Indiana illy provided with rail- i roads, and avoid crossing the Wa-1 bash river. This would be a great, line, passing through a fertile I ' country that needs it, and the ' ample and varied productions of ■ | which would make it a great freight | system, enriching it to an extentl that would even meet dividends i on watered stock.
