The route was decided upon as far south as Winn- -J mac except that the question be- | tween Monterey and Bass Lake as points on the line was left open. Another meeting is to be held at Winamac next Wednesday, at | which this question will be de- 1 -tided and also the direction of the route south of Winamac. Corn- | mittees have been appointed in | the counties north-east of here to secure the right of way. There ought to be a representation from | Rensselaer at the Winamac meeting, if for nothing more than to show the promoters of the enter- j prise that if it is presen t encourage- I ment and future prospects for | large business they are looking for rather than the most direct line, then the Francesville, Rensselaer, Remington and Fowler route, is just what they are looking for. Let some of our prominent and inter- j prising citizens go over to Winamac Wednesday, by all means. *3
