The Elections.

Tammany and Boodle have carried Greater New York, as was generally expected. There were votes enough given to the three opposing candidates to have elected one of them had the opposition to Tammany been united. Ohio re-elected Bushnell by a good figure, and the legislature is also thought to be safely Republican. lowa is Republican good and strong, and so also Massachusettes. Other states have gone about as they have been accustomed to go in ordinary years. There is nothing especially important or surprising in any of results, and nothing calamitous except the success of Tammany in New York, and that will have no particular effect outside of the city itself.
