The following is going the rounds of the press. “The country editor is a reliable encyclopedia. A subscriber sent him this query recently: “What ails my hens? Every morning I find one of them keeled over, to rise no more.” The reply was, “The keeled over fowls are dead. It is an old complaint, and nothing can be done except to bury them.”
