They Win Again.

Rensselaer Defeats The College Foot Ball Team By A Score Of 2 2 to 0. • Last Friday afternoon about 200 people witnessed the game of foot ball between Rensselaer and St. Joseph’s College elevens, on the College campus. The game was called at 2:15, after a great deal of wrangling over the men that were to play w T ith Rensselaer, but it was finally decided, and Rensselaer won the toss and chose the north goal. Heirholzerfor the College kicked to Parcels, who advanced the ball 10 yards, then Marshall went through right tackle for 10 yards and Manley through left tackle for 5; Sayler then hit right tackle for 3 yards and Wright went around right end for 5; the next play Sayler fumbled the ball and the College boys fell on it. For the College Snyder advanced it 2 yards around right end, Travers failed, and a foul tackle was claimed and the College boys given

15 yards. .When tfie ball was. put in play Steinbrunner hit center for 5 yards, and then attempted a gain around left end, ; .but failed, and again the College boys claimed a foul tackle and were given 15 yards. Now the ball was within 25 yards of Rensselaer’s goal line, ahd they were fighting like demons; at the College’s next three attempts they were held with no gain and the ball was given to Rensselaer. Capt Marshall realized their pos.ition, and at once called upon the backs to smash the line, which they did, until Manley had crossed the goal line witli the first touch down. Sayler kicked goal. Score 6to 0. From now on the game was uninteresting, both .teams hitting the line and occasionally making good runs around the end. The lines of both teams were about equal in weight, but the College was very weak behind the line and could not stop the hard pounding of Manley, Marshall and Sayler until Rensselaer had piled up a score of 22 to 0. For the College Snyder should receive special mention for his plucky tackling, several times stopping his man when it looked like a touchdown.
