Thos, Robinson has fulfilled his contract with an eastern company of furnishing them with 100 tons of hay. He went to Chicago Thursday to buy some cattle. Several car loads of oats are almost ready for shipment. They are in demand at I74cts per bu. Farmer's are busy gathering corn. Mr. Ward’s house took fire Friday and was saved from complete destruction by much hard work. Considerable damage was done. o Friday a covered wagon passed through here, and our townsman Mr. Gwin, seeing a fine hound in the wagon, hailed them and asked them what they would take for him. The man replied, ‘‘ten dollars,” “all right,” answered Mr. Gwin,
