HANGING GROVE. Sam Swisher moved to Medaryville last week. William Knapp has sold out and will move to Clinton Co. this week. Joe Kendall was the guest of H. N. Kendall Sunday. Corn husking husking has begun but the corn is so dry that it is very disagreable husking. NORTH BARKLEY. Miss Mae and Kittie Callahan were in Rensselaer, Friday. George Fanson is on the sick list, Ben Clouse went to Wlieatfield Sunday. The infant child of Mr. and Mrs. Dodd has been seriously ill the past week. B. J. GifEord has been in this vicinity since Thursday looking after the fire which has been raging on the marsh and devouring muck for the past two weeks. Mrs. James Noland was in Medaryville Thursday obtaining medical aid. School began at North Lawn last Monday with an average attendance. Mrs. Brookman visited her sister, Mrs. Kneadler last week. There was a party at Frank Stevens last Wednesday evening. George and John Fanson lost another valuable horse Thursday.
