Deaths in Indiana Not Reported.
The state board of health has just issued a bulletin taking the physicians of the state severely to task for violating the law in failing to report deaths. The bulletin declares that the mortality as reported shows but 5.7 deaths per 1,000, whereas it could not possibly be less than 18 per 1,000, and the secretary states that vital statistics based on such reports are absolutely worthless. He serves notice that he will enforce the law rigidly.
