Thursday,’s I)ai!y: The Hammond parties who have the sub-contract for building the waterworks and electric lights power house, were here ready to begin this morning, but in the absence of Engineer Rooney, the staking out could not be done until tomorrow. Stone for the building is being hauled, and the ground being j cleared up, so that work may be j said to have begun today. Some of the material of the plant is expected to arrive this week.
