Awful Mean.
Minneapolis Journal: They are digging up Jerry Simpson’s speeches in the last campaign to the confusion of “The Prophet of the Veiled Feet.” Jerry told the farmers that “under the gold standard, if McKinley were elected money would increase in value and farm products would decrease; that a condition approaching slavery would prevail among the people of Kansas; that a vote for McKinley would be a vote for twenty-five-cent wheat and ten-cent corn.” This is an awful mean way of proving that a man is a liar.
