The F. W. Baptists.

One of the great features of the F. W. Baptist association, which closed Sunday evening, was the sermon of Dr. Sally, Sunday morning. It w T as one of the most eloquent and powerful sermons ever delivered in Rensselaer. To the general publie perhaps the most interesting single act of the Association was adopting a resolution asking that the next annual general meeting of the A. F. C., the young people's society of the church, be held at Rensselaer. This is a denominational meeting, and is for the entire society all over the country. Should it come here it will be by far the largest and most important assembly that our city ever undertook to entertain. From 800 to 1000 young people assemble at these meetings. The next one will be held next August. Our people are fully alive to the honor and the advantage our city would derive from the meeting, and everything possible will be done to secure it.
