A Newton Township Wedding.
Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 22, occurred the wedding, at the home of the bride’s mother Mrs. Sarah E. Miller, in Newton Tp., of Mr. Marion Freeland and Miss Helena B. Miller. The ceremony was performed by Rev, R. D. Utter, D. D., of Rensselaer. Only a few relatives and friends were present at the wedding. The bride, who is the daughter of the late W. A. Miller, formerly of Rensselaer, is a most estimable young lady and a well known school teacher. The groom is the Oldest son of
Jackson Freeland, township trustee of Newton tp. He' is a very worthy young man and one of the mogt industrious and successful farmers in Jasper County. They will make their future residence on what was formerly the L. W. Henkle farm, in Newton tp. An infair in honor of the young couple was held yesterday afternoon at the residence of the groom’s parents.
