John King Wins a Badge.

John King put on all his old shooting clothes Thursday and went over to Morocco to shoot at blue rocks, for a $25 gold badge, offered by the Newton Co. fair association. John went after the badge and got it. His score in the badge shoot was 48 out of 50His closest competitor was MrKeen from Watseka, and although Keen was keen to win, he only hit 40 birds out of the 50. Joe Parks, the crack shot of Newton County fell down with only 36 hits. Two others in the shoot made scores of 38 and 35. In all Mr. King shot at 85 birds in program events and hit 83 of them, making only two missesHe shot some outride the program events, making in all 105 shots, and of this total he only missed three times.
