Charley Mason's little daughter is quite sick. Mrs, August Lidtke is reported quite sick. H. Marble transacted business in Crown Point one day last week. Ward Hamilton has moved his tin shop in his own building on Main street. Henry Ballard of Medaryville was in town Tuesday of last week. Mrs. John Whitaker received a telegram that her mother living jaear Indianapolis was very sick. Mrs. Whitaker started for there Wednesday morning, but her mother was dead when she got there. Charles Steward es Rensselaer was in town one day last week. School opened at this place Monday with A. C. Beeman, of Valparaiso and Miss Ora Vaughn of Winamac as teachers.
Mrs. Adams, of Streeter, 111., visited with her sister Mrs. Belle Myers, a few days last week. The Fish Commissioner has been making it interesting for some of the sports around here; he brought in a fellow from over by the river the other day, and it cost him $25 to settle it, the charge was illegal fishing. The printing office has moved in Grover Smith's building. Wm. Tilton, of Medaryville was in town TuesdayJohn Whitaker and Sam Remley are at Morocco this week taking 1 in the fair. H. Marble was taken quite sick Tuesday morning. Jake Melser went to Rensselaer Wednesday,
Louie Poulsens team took a spin around the square Tuesday evening. No damage except a broken wagon wheel. Dr. Agnew, of San Pierre, was in town one day last week. James Swisher is on the sick list. A good big chunk of Klondyke weather would have been very acceptable the last few days, send us some please. H. Marlbe was in Rensselaer last Monday. John- Pinter was in Chicago Tuesday and Wednesday of last week. W. E. S weeny of Hebron was in town last Wednesday. Hans Poulsen was on the sick list a few days last week, George Hoehn, a 'former resident of this place, but now of Bradley, 111., was shaking hands with old friends here laSLTjjgsday.
