MONTHLY DEBT STATEMENT.

Increase Is Shown, with a Decrease of Cash on Hand. The monthly statement of the publio debt issued at the Treasury Department shows the debt less cash in the treasury to be $1,008,335,121, which is an increase for the month of $14,888,475. This increase is accounted for by a corresponding decrease in the amount of cash on hand.
