Davis’ Big Colored Company Pleases at Marion
Ed. F. Davis’ “Darkest Vaudeville” was the attraction at the White last evening. The company gave good satisfaction. The singing was a feature, and the dancing was heartily applauded. The comedy part of the program was in the hands of “Doc” Saylers. Dan Palmer, George R. Wilson and William West. They kept the audience in continual good humor. The Magnolian female quartet sang a number of songs in a pleasing manner. Akimoto’s troupe of Japanese was the best feature of the show. Their work could hardly be improved upon. The audience comfortably filled the house. —Marion, Ind., Morning News, Sept. 8.
