THE subscribers w ill carry on thc above business at Hartford, during the ensuing season, and will be ready to commence Cardin-r about the middle of May. It is necessary, in order to have good rolls, that the wool should be well picked and w ashed clean, and all burrs extracted from it. AT a meeting of the Directors of the sakl company, held at Wilmington, on Monday, June 12, 1837, thc follow ing w as Ordered, That tho Trcasuverbe directed to give notice in the Rising Sun Times, that eight dollars has been called for on
each share ot stock, and as there arc some w ho have net complied with said requisitions, they arc hereby notified that the Treasurer is directed to collect the samo according to law, if not paid by tho 25th day of this month. For the information of those concerned,
l subjoin the iith section of the charter: "These corporations shall respectively have pow er to call for such portions "of the stock subscribed, not exceeding twentyfive per centum, every six months, as they may think proper, to be paid at such time and place as they may designate, by giving sixty day's notice in some newspaper in this State, or by giving written notices to thc stockholders, in which shall be specified thc amount demanded on cachshare, and the time and place of payment: and if any stockholder shall neglect or refuse to pav such requisition within ten days after the thncViamcd for such payment; the corporation may bring suit against such delinquent, for thc amount due and called for,
in any court of competent jurisdiction, and recover the amount with two per centum interest thereon per month; and if the ainouut cannot be made on execution, or if such delinquent is out of thc State, then such corporation may, by an order on their
books, declare the stock owned by sucn delinquent forfeited, together with thc aniount the owner thereof may havc paid on thc same; and no such delinquent bofore the forfeiture of his stock, shall have a right to vote for stockhf'ders, or receive any dividend on his stock, until tho demands of the corporation are fully satisfied. The corporation shall require of all officers and others in their employ, bond with security, as they may sec proper, for thc faithful discharge of their duties."
