It is perfectly, circular shaped, very red dish in appearance, , and evidently came originally from Lake Superior.1 On one side is a fine portrait Of the Goddess of Liberty, with the word "Liberty" im printed on her forehead, and, a circle of stars; surrounding, her.. Below the figure, the year in which it was manufactured appears," showing that, it is thirty -four years Of age. On the reverse side, the words, "United States of America," are plainly e legible a wreath, looking somewhat .like corn shucks, surrounds a latin inscription, "Tnec Eno" the exact meaning of... which, we leave to linguists to scent out. It is a peculiar ly appropriate gift to a printer, a and whilst we have it in our possession, we cannot say we have "nary red." , , FntB.We learn from the Eaton (O.) Register that the house of Mr. W. McWhinney in Campbells town, Jackson township, occupied by Mr. James Gray, was burned on the night of ' the 10th inst .. The family of Mr. Gray were ren dering lard in a tin boiler on the stove when the bottom of the boiler became unsoldered and fell out, filling the stove with scalding and burning grease, which spread over tbe floor and set the house on fire. Mr. Gray,- seized a churn full of butter milk and dashed it on the flames -this only aggravated the difficulty causing the hot grease to sputter and sparkle out, setting fire to Mr. G's shirt and hair buring him badly on the breast and head. Mrs. G. in trying to render her husband some assistance, was severely burned on her hands and arms. Mr. G. - ran to a neighbor and gave the alarm he could not return in consequence of his injuries, which . are feared will prove - fatal. Some of the household goods 'were' saved.
