RICHMOND. TlND....Nov. 3th. EpiHe from different Yearly Meetings. ' . We gire place to the following Epistle to the Indiana Yearly Meeting of Women Friends. We commend them to a perusal of the general reader From Baltimore Yearly Meeting, ' oi'wmn Friend, heist br ndjotirninenl IroHT the teth of Teat nontk, to the th i of the ame, inclniitreT IW3. To ImJiaua Yearly Meeting of Women 'Friends :' :" " ' - - Dkah SiSTius, We have again been permitted to meet, and mingle and bold, awett counsel together. "As iron xharpeneth iron, so doth the countenance of a man that of his friend;" and to sensibly feel that Divine love, a a cano- , py, is over us. Though in the world there is strife and confusion, those who cleave to this indwelling principle will have a covert to flee to from every Rtorni; for assuredly, "Thou wilt keep him in. perfect peace whoae mind is htayed on thee, because he tnisteth in thee." We have the company of dear Friends niih lumntes from otlwt meeting, whose G oh pel labors have been strengthen; lug and grateful to our spirits. Concern t d iniuda have been introduced into deep exercise on accountof the many delinquencies exhibited in reading the answers to the several queries. Mothers have been earnestly admonished of the great responsibility resting on them, and the need there is for watching unto prayer for right qualifications, so to walk before their children that their conduct may nay, "Follow me,iis I follow Christ." Counsel has flowed forth freely to the youthful mind ; warning against the allurements of the world in whatever form they may present ; for the ad versa ry of our souls' peace assumes many guises, therefore it is necessary to guard f.trictly every avenue to the citadel of the heartleetho enter and take possession while the sentinel sleeps. The language of encouragement hss also been held out, the beauty of holiness shown, and true peace enjoyed in the straight and narrow way ; insomuch that they can truly ssv, "One hour in the presence of the lord is worth a thousand elsewhere." We have to acknowledge to our deaj 3 onng sisters the satisfaction their strict, uttention and solid deportment have been to their elder friends, and the encouragment it has airorded them to have the company of so many of that class. We have to feel deeply our loss, in the removal of faithful laborers, who have been called from works to rewards; and the query has arisen: m whom will the mantle fall?" Your acceptable epistle of Dth month last, - was received, and read to th comfort and edification of many minds. With a salutation of love, we remain your frienda. Signed on' behalf of Ualtimorc Y. V To Indiana Yearly Meeting of Women Friends t ' ' f-"' Dear Sisters, We are again reminded Of the goodness of our Heavenly Father, in permitting ua once more to assemble at our annual gathering, and in feeling that the overshadowing winir of His divine presence has been spread over uf, harmonizing us togetln;r, and baptizing our spirits in love. Ki.istles have been recieved from all the meetings with which this meeting i in corresnondtuce, including yours, their contents furnishing evidence that altho j the Lord's children may be scattered over the earth, they may mingle in B,irit may all gather around the same table, be fed by the same hand, and partake of the same spiritual bread that nourishes the soul unto eternal life. We have the company of several friends from other Yearly Meetings, whose labors of love have bound us more closely together, and ha3 afforded the consoling evidence that our Lord and Master is yet mindful of us. And may our breathing aspirations ascend to the Father of spirits that their labors of love through our tin watchfulness ami unfaithfulness, fail not to encourage and stimulate us to the performance of present duties, proving also as "bread cast upon the waters, found after many days." And we trust it is in the ltve of the everlasting Gospel, our aspirations have ascended to our Father in Heaven that He will continue to hear the crying of the afflicted and oppressed everywhere ; and that you with us may remember the oppressed of our land, endeavoring individually to examine more closely than we have yet dune, what is called for at our hands by our Divine Master, in laboring to remove this great evil from our country. An 1 in all things let us be encouraged to faithfulness, persevering unto the end "we shall receive the crown that fadetli not away." With the salutation of love, we bid you farewell, and remain 'our sisters in the Truth. Signed on behalf of the Meeting, bv RACHEL HICKS, Clerk.
