V3F With the view of selecting and recommending to the City Council, the appointment of a suitahl- person as Chief Engineer of the Fire Department in this city, the different Fire Companies appointed a committee of five from each company to make the selection. Paoe, for that station a better selection could not have been made and one, too, that will give more gen eral satisfaction. We hope the new Council will confirm the choice of the committee.
