The dwelling house and shoe shop of our friend Joseph Ogborn of that place was found to be on fire, communicated we learn from a defective flue. The fire also communicated to the residence of Mr. F. Williamson, both of which were entirely destroyed. Most of the furniture was saved from the flames. Mr. Ogborn has a large number of beehives in his garden, and it was with great difficulty they were removed to a place of safety. The loss is quite heavy upon both parties, who can illy afford to lose such an amount of property. They however have the sympathy of their neighbors, and liberal donations have already been made to them. Since writing the above, we learn that the fire originated in the house of Mr. Williamson, and not as above stated in that of Mr. Ogborn. If any of our citizens feel disposed to aid these worthy men, we take the liberty of saying that any thing forwarded to J. W. Scott, will be faithfully handed over to them. ———<>——— 0OMessrs.
