We have no, Siate Agent, no State Printer, and no officer of i any itina w nose eiet-.K n was enjomea upon tne Legislature. The "ol 1 line" resolutely refused to elect even those cScers for whom the law has provided, which law they have sworn to tuppert. And this rwsult is the consequence not of a doubt as to their duty, or obligations, but a determination to saeraSce both to their party. The shameful admission stands out in every vote to postpone these elections that "old line" democrats were willing to disregard their duty, their professions, the will of the people, their very oaths, to give their party another chance at the Senatorship. That is the whole s-tory, and what a disgraceful story it i! But if the end is di-crracefu:, the means are no less so. In the House, the Republicans tried repeatedly ' to brin on the election, and they were defeated, how think you readerl by the "old liners," breaking a quorum. Mr. Frazer, of Kosciusko, offered a resolution to go into the elections, and the Republicans to a man TOted for it. and not a single man against it. A call of the Houses showed that there were sixty-seven members present, a quorum. A new resolution was offered, and again there was no quorum, the Republicai s alone voting upon it. This convinced the Republicans that the "old liners" were pre pared at all hazards to prevent an election, and the efiort was abandoned Tl... x. neic w as 11 u rtliciut at Crawling OUt, Under the pretext of a "Concur- ..
