It will be observed that a "good feeling" in already being cultivated, and a plentiful crop may yet be produced: Cntcnt ton that teas t be held. IJro. Da r'cr, of the Palladium, gives, in the last number of that paper, a gossiping account of the Ivlitorial Convention that was to have come ofTon last Saturday, but did not, owing, in part, to the absence of bro. rititt, who promised us real genuine "Printer's lare," on that occasion. We started at an early hour for Centreville; on finding that none of the expected company had arrived, wo concluded to go over to Richmond just to see the "Camels." When we arrived in town, we found Jeems of the JefTersonian, snugly housed, and as greasy as ever the prospect ot three dollars a day has not yet even made him clean he looks as if "he has held his own ever since his 'grand entree,' witli thirty-seven and-a-ha If cents. After looking around awhile for the Palladium man we were informed that he was seated upon a cold rock, below I'rightwell's mill, enjoying "printer's fare," in the way of cracking hickory nuts. Friend Vaile says that there is no toll charged for a foot passenger, on the pike, therefore, the cause of his walking so often rather than riding, is explained. It is said that he does not, naturally, like to walk, and is, without a doubt, the laziest man in the county. Whether this be true or not, we are not able to sav; but let our readers jut d'e for w, that t meet, themselves. One thing we do know the convention of editors did not

Had the Reveille man been correctly informed as to our whereabouts, we'd have been in an easier position than on that hard troting horse, and if we'd been 'cracking hickory nuts' the "fare" would have been more substantial and not so hard. "Hro. Davis of the Palladium, gives a graphic account of the editorizl convention that didn't meet here on the 20th inst. We were necessarily absent, and we regret that we were not here to give the "Printers Fare" promised, and unite with our brethren of the Press in 'cultivating a more friendly feeling.' As it was, IJro. Davis had to do all alono. From his account, he succeeded admirably. Davis is the soul of humor, and sociability, and is on the most friendly terms with himself. No representative was present from any rat office, where they strike horse-bills far 07 A cents, or whs-re the paper is given away, and advertisements thrown in, as a means of increasing the subscription list. The fact is, bro. Stitt, we never put on but one suit yet, that our friends proved unable to know us, and that was a JIunt'itig shirt, made in a round-about, compromising fashion, which, like the fabled one that old Xesus is said to have worn, compels us to surround our everyday form with battered furniture. We have yet, thanks to our paying subscribers, an extra shirt and a pair of un-hole-ly unmentionables, to sport at editorial conventions and "sitch like" gatherings. "That 'Editorial Convention." The editorial convention which was to 'cultivate a better state of feeling among the editorial fraternity of this county and fix a uniform rate of prices.' fizzled out. The originator, Dormor, of the 'Reveille, followed the show to our town on the day fixed for holding the convention, and was seen, in company with about one hundred boys, running after the music and camels.
