(yj-For the relirf of children cutting tceth?Q TO PARENTS A5D SCRSES. t It is etated by eminent medical men, that at least one-third of the children in the United States die from teething and diseases caused thereby. The passage of the Teeth through the gums, produces dangerous and troublesome symptoms. It is known by mothers that there is great irritation in the mouth and gums during this proces. The gums swell, the secretion of saliva is increased, the child is seized with frequent and sudden fits of crying, watching, starting in the sleep, and spasms of peculiar parts; the child ehriUo wiiU -trenn viilrnc, and thrusts its fingers into its mouth. If these precursory symptoms are not speedily alleviated, spasmodic convulsions universally pupervene, and soon cause the dissolution of the infant. This infallible remedy has preserved thousands of chddren. when thought past recovery, from convulsions. As soon as the " Oriental Drops" are rubbed on the gums, the child will recover. This preparation is so innocent, so efficacious, and so pleasant, that no child will refuse to let ita gums be rubbed with it. When infants are at the age of four months, though there is no appearance of teeth, one bottle should be used on the gums, ta open the pores. Parents should never be without this remedy in the nursery where there are young children; for if a child wakes in the night with pains ia the gums, t immediately gives ease by opening the poretJ, and healing the gums; thereby pref-entiug Convulsions, Fevers, &c.
