The report was accompanied by a bill which repeals the existing laws on the, subject, nnd provides far the punishment of all capital offences by solitary confinement fur life in tha county jiils or Slate Penitentiary, The aportionmenl committee reported a bill to define Senatorial and Rep resentative districts of the State, winch bill, together with a similar one passed by tho Senate, was recommitted to said committee, and yesterday the bill of the Senate was reported back to the House with sundary amendments', which were agreed to. The bill was then read n third lime and passed. The amendments of tho Huuse were immediately afterwards concurred in by the Senate. By this law, the legislature will consist of 100 Representatives and 50 Senators. Wayne will have 3 of the firmer and two of tho latter. -The bill provides that Senators whose terms have not expired, shall serve out their time in the district in which they may reside.
