Richmond produced a suit of boy s clothes, and
told ber she n.ust put them on; but this she per
emptorily refused to do, until overcome at last by
his repeated persuasions she consented, and accor
dingly dressed herself in them. She contradicted
Ihe story she told at Mr. Cason'a so fir as related to
her intention or going to the north, stating that Richmond had told her first, that he only wanted to go down to Norfolk to buy some thing and try
if he could sell his mistrc8es horse, which ahe
had authotizfd him to do, and then return home.
But this is by no means prob ihle and the fair pre
sumption is. that they were shaping their course
